Kyotherm acquires 155 MW operational renewable heat and energy efficiency portfolio from SDCL Efficiency Income Trust for €120 million
Kyotherm, a renewable heat and energy efficiency investment platform, completed the acquisition of a 155 MW operational portfolio from SDCL Efficiency Income Trust (SEIT) for approximately €120 million ($141 million). The transaction integrates 11 fully operational projects across six markets: the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Portugal, Sweden, and Singapore. The portfolio spans biomass, geothermal, cogeneration, and energy savings projects, all backed by long-term contracts with blue-chip industrial and commercial end customers. Kyotherm financed the acquisition through a long-term debt facility, raising structured debt against the portfolio's predictable cash flows. The deal expands Kyotherm's total consolidated capacity to 414 MW, reinforcing its ability to finance and manage complex, multi-jurisdictional decarbonization infrastructure.
