Landmark Properties partners with Citrus Group and Galliard Homes to develop Prince Bishops Place mixed-use center in Durham

Partnership Hospitality announced United Kingdom Apr 29, 2026

Landmark Properties exchanged contracts to partner with Citrus Group and Galliard Homes for the mixed-use development of Prince Bishops Place in Durham, England. The proposed scheme will include 504 purpose-built student bedrooms alongside a new link to the River Wear, modern retail and leisure uses, and pedestrian links through the site. Landmark Properties will acquire the site and collaborate with Citrus Group and Galliard Homes to deliver the development pending planning and regulatory approvals. Planning permission for Prince Bishops Place was initially granted in 2024, with a revised planning application submitted earlier in 2026 to increase student beds and enhance design standards. The redevelopment aims to create a multifunctional commercial hub with student accommodation, retail, and hospitality uses, while preserving the existing multistory car park. This project represents Landmark Properties' third U.K. development and reinforces its strategy to expand its student accommodation expertise in the United Kingdom.
