LD TravOcean acquires DP2 multi-purpose vessel to expand subsea services
LD TravOcean, a subsidiary of Louis Dreyfus Armateurs (LDA) Group, acquired the DP2 multipurpose support vessel SIDDIS Mariner, which will be renamed TVO Mariner upon delivery in summer 2026. The vessel, built in 2011 with an 88.3-meter length and 2,500-tonne payload capacity, will support subsea operations including telecom cable work, offshore wind projects, cable repair, and multipurpose offshore activities. The acquisition enables LD TravOcean to integrate assets such as trenching machines, ROVjets, and remotely operated vehicles for comprehensive subsea solutions. The vessel will operate under the French flag with ship management handled by LDA and subsea operations by LD TravOcean. This strategic move aligns with LDA's focus on high-value assets supporting the energy transition.
