Lefdal Mine Datacenter acquires Titan Group AS and Moskog data center development site

Lefdal Mine Datacenter acquired Titan Group AS and took over a 40-acre Moskog site in Sunnfjord Næringspark, purchasing the plot from Sunnfjord Municipality for NOK 74 million ($7.7m) as reported on 2026-09-29. The company has signalled plans to invest NOK 9 billion ($938m) in developing the data center project at Moskog in Sunnfjord Municipality, Vestland county, on Norway's west coast. The site is approximately 120km from Lefdal Mine’s existing Måløy facility, which currently has around 37MW operational capacity and 43MW contracted capacity under construction across up to 120,000 sqm of underground halls. Former owners Thomas Gribbestad and Thor Arne Ullaland cited Lefdal Mine’s strategy to utilise local businesses and create long-term jobs as reasons for selling Titan Group AS. Investment firm 3i Infrastructure took a majority stake in Lefdal Mine earlier in 2026, providing broader corporate ownership context for the acquisition.
