Martir Solar receives environmental authorization for 120 MWn Piedras Negras solar project in Veracruz, Mexico
Martir Solar received a favorable environmental impact resolution for its Piedras Negras solar project, a 120 MWn photovoltaic park located in the municipality of Tlalixcoyan, Veracruz. The project will feature 230,688 photovoltaic modules across 334.44 hectares, generating 126 MWac at the inverter output and 149.9472 MWdc. Energy will be collected at 34.5 kV, transported via two medium-voltage lines, and stepped up to 115 kV by a substation before connecting to the national grid at CFE's Piedras Negras Electrical Substation. The administrative resolution grants a five-year validity for site preparation, construction, and installation, with an authorized operational period of 25 years and a total project life of 60 years. Construction and installation of the infrastructure are scheduled from the fifth to the eighth year of the project timeline.
