Masdar has signed a Battery Storage Service Agreement with JSC Uzenergosotish to develop the Zarafshan BESS, Uzbekistan's largest standalone battery energy storage project. This 300MW / 600MWh facility, the first phase of a national battery storage program, is expected to be operational in Q3 2028 and will significantly enhance grid reliability and renewable energy integration in Uzbekistan.
