Meridian Waste Virginia acquires Waste Knot, LLC to expand Richmond market presence

The acquisition strengthens Meridian Waste Virginia's footprint in the greater Richmond, Virginia market and aligns with its ongoing acquisition-driven growth strategy. The addition of Waste Knot expands Meridian Waste’s residential and commercial collection platform, increasing route density and driving incremental volume to its vertically integrated assets, including the Tri-City Materials Recovery Facility and the Lunenburg Municipal Solid Waste Landfill. Waste Knot’s operations will be integrated into Meridian Waste’s existing Petersburg hauling facility. Customers will continue to receive service under existing agreements while benefiting from expanded resources, safety standards, and service capabilities. The transaction represents Meridian Waste’s 37th acquisition since partnering with Warren Equity Partners in April 2018. Meridian Waste provides residential, commercial, and industrial non-hazardous waste collection and disposal services across multiple markets in the United States, serving more than 582,800 customers. The company operates a network of hauling companies, transfer stations, materials recovery facilities, and landfills that collectively handle more than 1.7 million tons of waste annually.
