Meta partners with CBRE to launch LevelUp program for free data center technician training in the US
Meta and CBRE launched the LevelUp program, a free four-week initiative to train data center technicians in the US. The program will prepare fiber technicians to install technical infrastructure, fiber-optic cables, network gear, and other mission-critical equipment for Meta's data center construction sites. Training will include both hands-on and classroom elements, with participants receiving an hourly wage and relocation costs covered. Successful graduates will be eligible to work on Meta's data center projects across the US, where the company currently has 27 facilities under construction or operational. Meta previously announced plans to spend $600 billion on US data centers by 2028, with capital expenditure estimated between $115-135 billion in 2026 alone.
