METLEN expands defense solutions through strategic partnerships with Iveco Defence Vehicles and KNDS France

By leveraging Iveco Defence Vehicles' established capabilities in specialized military vehicles and KNDS France's leading position as a European land defense systems manufacturer, METLEN expands its defense solutions portfolio. This deal structure, announced on 2025-04-28, sees METLEN providing the capital for manufacturing infrastructure, while its partners contribute critical technological components. Metlen Energy & Metals, a global industrial and energy company, adds a substantial defense manufacturing arm to its portfolio with this €500 million investment, diversifying beyond its energy transition and metallurgy focus. Iveco Defence Vehicles, a CNH Industrial subsidiary and global manufacturer of specialized military vehicles, extends the application of its mobility solutions through these new European production lines. KNDS France, the French entity of the KNDS Group, which generated over €1.3 billion in revenue in 2023 from land defense systems, integrates its advanced platforms into METLEN's new facilities. This arrangement allows KNDS France to expand its market presence for its land defense systems beyond its Versailles headquarters.
