New Time to launch large-scale perovskite production in Italy within four years
New Time has initiated a project to industrialize perovskite production in Emilia Romagna, Italy, with a four-year timeline for large-scale manufacturing. The company held a strategic meeting on March 31, 2026, involving experts from the CNR Institute of Nanotechnology, the University of Bari "Aldo Moro," and TU Delft to define operational phases and technology sharing. Phase 1 (Year 1) focuses on "recipe" optimization and stabilizer identification, followed by small-scale production for certification in Phase 2 (Year 2). Phase 3 (Year 3) will develop the industrial solution for large-scale production, with the commencement of large-scale manufacturing targeted for Phase 4 (Year 4). Investments for these steps have already begun, funded by the company's reinvestment of profits into R&D.
