NSW Government allocates infrastructure grants for Transport Oriented Development Accelerated Precincts
The NSW Government has released the first $90 million of infrastructure grants from a $520 million investment in the Transport Oriented Development (TOD) Accelerated Precincts, allocating funds to nine councils for local infrastructure upgrades.

The TOD Accelerated Precincts were major rezonings finalised around seven transport centres in November 2024 which created capacity to provide nearly 60,000 homes and more than 126,000 commercial and retail jobs. $300 million will be used to create new open space for Sydney’s fast-growing communities while $220 million will be invested in the TOD Community Infrastructure Grants program to help improve connectivity, accessibility and liveability. Councils can nominate projects for the first round of funding, from 23 February to 18 May 2026.
