NuScale Power and Framatome expand exclusive fuel manufacturing partnership to include European and U.S. production facilities

NuScale Power Corporation and Framatome have expanded their exclusive fuel manufacturing partnership, originally signed in 2015, to include European production facilities and establish U.S. manufacturing operations. Under the expanded agreement, Framatome's European facilities will fabricate fuel assemblies for NuScale's European small modular reactor customers, while its Richland, Washington facility will manufacture fuel for U.S. customers, with the Richland facility expected to produce at least 444 fuel assemblies for NuScale's first U.S. customer as early as 2030. This partnership ensures stable supply chains and meets critical manufacturing milestones for NuScale's global SMR project deployment.
