Nuvve, a former V2G specialist, has partnered with Swiss investment firm Omnia Global to develop over 1 GW of battery energy storage system (BESS) projects across Europe. The partnership will commence with a 50 MW / 75 MWh BESS project in Sweden, scheduled to begin operations in Q2 2026. Nuvve will own and manage the asset, providing full market access services including optimization across ancillary services and energy trading, while also securing exclusive rights to support Omnia’s existing BESS developments and a right of first refusal for future projects.
