Octopus Australia has acquired a 4.8GWh battery storage project in New South Wales from Enervest and Samsung C&T Renewable Energy Australia. The project, known as the Hanworth Battery Energy Storage System, will be the largest planned battery project in Australia. Octopus Australia has also acquired the Dunmore Solar Farm and Battery project in Queensland from Samsung C&T Renewable Energy Australia.
