Oracle introduced the Defense Industrial Base Isolated Cloud Environment, a secure air-gapped cloud deployment designed for defense contractors to collaborate on classified programs while meeting stringent security standards. The isolated environment enables contractors to expand existing on-premises infrastructure into Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), supporting the Department of Defense's classified workloads. Oracle's executive vice president for Government, Defense & Intelligence, Kim Lynch, emphasized the offering's role in maintaining US technological superiority amid strategic competition. The solution is undergoing security evaluation with provisional authorization expected at the Secret classification level by summer 2026, followed by Top Secret authorization.
