Deal Analysis
The award of Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) contracts by ORLEN Neptun for the 900MW Baltic East offshore wind farm represents a critical de-risking milestone for the Polish project. This development stage agreement with a consortium comprising Projmors ASE Group, Ramboll Polska, and Enprom positions the project for future investment decisions by securing detailed technical specifications. ORLEN Neptun, a subsidiary of multi-energy group ORLEN S.A., benefits directly from specialized engineering expertise essential for advancing this significant renewable energy asset in Poland. The commercial logic centers on translating initial concepts into actionable designs, a prerequisite for securing financing and commencing construction for the 900MW facility. While the deal value remains undisclosed, securing these FEED services is fundamental to defining project scope, cost estimates, and technical viability for the Baltic East offshore wind farm.

KEY DETAILS
The companies will prepare technical documentation, define FEED parameters and obtain building permits for the project, ORLEN Neptun said. The FEED work will include detailed analyses of geotechnical, hydrological and wind conditions at the project site. The consortium will also develop technical specifications for turbines, foundations, substations and offshore wind cable infrastructure. The results will support building permit applications and environmental impact assessment work related to the connection infrastructure. Numerous Polish companies and institutions will also be involved in the process, including Geofizyka Toruń, Glesum, Maritime University of Szczecin, the National Institute of Telecommunications, Polish Naval Academy, Squadron and ASE Offshore. The Baltic East project was among the winners of the first Polish auction for offshore wind farms held in December 2025 by the President of the Energy Regulatory Office, enabling it to move to an advanced development stage.
