Osprey Charging opens new ultra-rapid EV charging hub at Twyford Services with Kempower chargers
Osprey Charging opened the Twyford Services ultra-rapid EV charging hub near Evesham, featuring 16 Kempower chargers capable of delivering up to 300kW of power. The site, located at Twyford Services by the A46 and A44 highways, is positioned in a region described as a fast-charging 'cold spot' by National Highways, addressing critical infrastructure gaps for long-distance EV travel. Osprey Charging owns the land, enabling the construction of a larger, purpose-built facility with capacity for up to 32 EVs simultaneously across two charging bays per tower. The hub accepts multiple payment methods, including Chip & PIN, contactless cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and fleet cards via Adyen payment terminals. Ian Johnston, CEO of Osprey Charging, emphasized the site's role in supporting the UK's EV transition by providing reliable, high-power charging infrastructure on major roads.
