Pace Digitek Ltd and its subsidiary Lineage Power entered an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partnership with NEC XON Systems South Africa to market, distribute, and deploy Pace Digitek’s grid-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) and related energy solutions across five Southern African countries. Under the agreement, NEC XON will serve as the regional go-to-market and deployment partner, leveraging its established market access, systems integration expertise, and project execution capabilities in South Africa, Botswana, Mozambique, Namibia, and Mauritius. Pace Digitek and Lineage Power will retain focus on product development, manufacturing, and supply while NEC XON handles commercialization and project rollout. The collaboration targets high-growth opportunities in grid-scale energy storage driven by increasing renewable energy integration, grid stability needs, and rising demand for reliable power infrastructure in the region. For NEC XON, the partnership expands its energy solutions portfolio with integrated BESS offerings, strengthening its position in Africa’s evolving energy storage market.
