Peak Nano and Advanced Conversion partner to co-develop DC-link capacitors for 800 V+ SiC EV inverter systems
Peak Nano and Advanced Conversion announced a partnership to co-develop DC-link capacitor solutions specifically for 800 V+ SiC inverter systems in electric vehicles and e-mobility platforms. This collaboration combines Peak Nano’s NanoPlex LDF capacitor film with Advanced Conversion’s Power Ring capacitor platform. The NanoPlex LDF film maintains a dissipation factor below 0.0004 up to 150 °C, surpassing conventional biaxially oriented polypropylene film performance. The Power Ring platform's ultra-low inductance architecture reduces voltage overshoot at SiC switching events, preventing derating and oversizing in inverter designs. Initial product releases from this partnership are planned for late 2026, targeting applications such as Formula E, high-performance automotive, electric buses, heavy trucks, off-highway vehicles, and electrified aviation.
