Pertamina Hulu Energi Sulawesi Lavender signs 30-year production sharing contract with SKK Migas to operate Indonesia's Lavender oil and gas block
PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Sulawesi Lavender, a unit of Indonesia’s state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina, signed a 30-year production sharing contract (PSC) with upstream regulator SKK Migas to operate the Lavender block in South Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi. The block spans 8,206.95 square kilometers across onshore and offshore areas, marking the sixth new block awarded to a Pertamina subsidiary since 2023. The contract was secured through a direct offer mechanism under Phase 2 of the 2025 Indonesia Petroleum Bidding Round and operates under a cost recovery PSC structure. Under the agreement, Pertamina plans to conduct geological and geophysical studies, including the acquisition of 100 km of 2D seismic data and 200 square kilometers of 3D seismic surveys within the first three years of the exploration period. The deal aligns with Pertamina’s strategy to expand its exploration portfolio and support new oil and gas discoveries and reserves in Indonesia.
