Plug Power secures FEED contract with HY2GEN for 275 MW hydrogen electrolyser system at Courant project in Québec
Plug Power has been awarded a Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) contract by HY2GEN to supply a 275 MW GenEco PEM electrolyser system for the Courant project located in Baie-Comeau, Québec. The GenEco system, a core component of HY2GEN’s green hydrogen production strategy, will enable large-scale hydrogen generation using renewable electricity. This agreement marks Plug Power’s first major electrolyser supply contract in Canada, positioning the company to expand its footprint in North America’s burgeoning hydrogen market. HY2GEN, a leading developer of green hydrogen projects, will leverage the electrolyser to produce low-carbon hydrogen for industrial and mobility applications. The Courant project is expected to play a key role in Québec’s decarbonization efforts by supplying clean hydrogen to local industries and transportation sectors.
