Power Finance Corporation Limited forms four SPVs to accelerate power transmission projects in Rajasthan and Karnataka
Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) established four wholly owned subsidiaries—Babai Transmission Limited, Bikaner Transmission Limited, Humnabad Power Transmission Limited, and Hebbani Power Transmission Limited—to accelerate the development of critical interstate power transmission projects in Rajasthan and Karnataka. These special purpose vehicles (SPVs) will be managed by PFC Consulting Limited (PFCCL) in its capacity as the Bid Process Coordinator, facilitating the execution of key infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening India's power grid. The initiative targets the enhancement of transmission capacity to support renewable energy integration and grid stability in the two states. By creating dedicated entities for project execution, PFC aims to streamline project development and improve operational efficiency. The move aligns with India's broader push to modernize its power infrastructure and meet growing electricity demand.
