R.Power begins construction of 150MW/300MWh Jedwabno battery energy storage project in Poland
R.Power has commenced construction of its 150MW/300MWh Jedwabno battery energy storage project in Poland, with civil works already underway and initial containers delivered. Nomad Electric is leading the construction as the EPC contractor for this material energy storage scheme. The project has secured revenues through a 17-year capacity market contract and a long-term optimisation agreement with Axpo. Scheduled for completion at the end of 2026, the Jedwabno BESS will support Poland's transition away from coal and help stabilise the national grid. This development builds on R.Power's experience, having connected 53 new renewables and BESS projects in 2025 and ten more in Q1 2026.
