Raytheon and MBDA Deutschland's joint venture COMLOG to operate new Patriot GEM-T interceptor production facility in Germany
Raytheon signed a $3.7 billion contract to supply Patriot® GEM-T interceptors to Ukraine, with production supported by a new facility in Schrobenhausen, Germany operated by COMLOG, a joint venture between Raytheon and MBDA Deutschland. The facility will enhance supply chain resiliency and help replenish Ukraine's interceptor inventory amid growing global demand for the combat-proven Patriot air and missile defense system. Raytheon is investing heavily to increase GEM-T production, driven by major internal and partner investments, second-sourcing initiatives, and global supply chain expansion. The Patriot system, used by 19 countries, is designed to intercept tactical ballistic missiles and other airborne threats. The GEM-T interceptor is a primary effector for the PAC-2 system, which has demonstrated effectiveness against nearly all airborne threats.
