São Paulo state government and GIZ sign cooperation agreement to attract investments in SAF and green hydrogen projects
The São Paulo state government's investment promotion agency, InvestSP, and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) signed a letter of intent to collaborate on attracting investments and developing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and green hydrogen projects in São Paulo state. The agreement establishes a framework for joint efforts to mobilize capital and technical expertise for these decarbonization initiatives, targeting Brazil's largest economy. GIZ, Germany's international cooperation agency, will provide technical assistance and international networking support to facilitate project development. InvestSP, linked to the state's Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Econômico, will lead local investment promotion activities and coordinate with domestic and international stakeholders. The partnership aims to position São Paulo as a hub for sustainable aviation fuel and green hydrogen production in Latin America.
