Saudi Electricity Company signs PPA for Rabigh 1 expansion

Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has signed a long-term power purchase agreement with Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) for the Rabigh 1 expansion project, a large-scale combined-cycle gas turbine project with a total generation capacity of 1,179 MW. The project is located in the Kingdom's western province and has a total investment value of $1.4 billion. The agreement reinforces SPPC's role as the central offtaker for power generation projects in the Kingdom, supporting long-term supply planning and market stability.
