Schneider Electric acquires Motivair to integrate power and liquid cooling solutions for AI data centers

Schneider Electric completed the acquisition of Motivair, a liquid cooling solutions provider, to bolster its end-to-end infrastructure offerings for high-density AI data centers. The deal integrates Motivair's advanced liquid cooling systems—including cold plates, Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), in-rack manifolds, and rear-door heat exchangers—with Schneider Electric's power infrastructure portfolio. Motivair's cooling innovations, originally developed for high-performance computing and exascale environments, are now positioned as core for AI data center thermal management. Schneider Electric's global manufacturing footprint in the U.S., India, and Italy will support rapid deployment of AI-ready infrastructure, addressing supply chain constraints and accelerating project timelines.
