ScottishPower Renewables is gearing up to commence turbine installation at the 1400MW East Anglia 3 wind farm off east England, with Cadeler jack-up Wind Osprey starting to erect Siemens Gamesa 14.7MW turbines. Seaway Ventus has meanwhile put around 53 of 95 monopiles and transition pieces in place.

Turbine installation is set to commence later this month, from around 18 March, using Cadeler jack-up Wind Osprey. The vessel will load-out at the Port of Esbjerg in Denmark and is set to be joined on-site by fleet-mate Wind Pace mid-April. Turbine installation is expected to wrap up in the third or fourth quarter of the year. Commissioning is slated to begin in June. Some 500MW of capacity is targeted to be installed by July and 1GW+ by September. Foundations installation campaign began last April.
