Siemens Gamesa has been contracted to supply and maintain turbines for the 94.6MW Mt Cass Wind Farm in New Zealand. The project, developed, owned, and operated by Yinson Renewables, will feature 22 SG 4.3-130 turbines. Once operational, the wind farm is expected to generate over 300GWh of electricity annually, enough to power approximately 40,000 homes and avoid 100,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. New Zealand aims to triple its wind generation capacity by 2035.
