Global Infrastructure SherpaSKA Observatory partners with AWS for cloud-based HPC cluster development
The SKA Observatory (SKAO) is partnering with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for a cloud-based high-performance computing (HPC) cluster to support its development phase. UK-based The Server Labs will set up the cluster, which will utilize AWS Parallel Cluster to enable the development and fine-tuning of complex signal processing algorithms for astronomical data. This collaboration builds on a long-standing relationship between SKAO and AWS, including the AstroCompute in the Cloud grant program established in 2015.
