Smulders HSM has commenced construction of the offshore substation topside and jacket for the East Anglia 2 wind farm, following an EPCIC contract awarded by ScottishPower Renewables in 2025. The topside fabrication is underway at Smulders HSM's Stormpolder yard in the Netherlands, while jacket works have begun in Newcastle, UK. The East Anglia 2 offshore wind farm will have an installed capacity of up to 960MW and is located in the southern North Sea. Jacket installation is scheduled for 2027, with the topside installation to follow later in the same year, marking a material step towards the UK's clean energy future.
