Type: Acquisition · Technology: Data Center · Country: United States · Value: $3.1B · Announced: 2026-10-01

SoftBank Group has completed the acquisition of all outstanding common stock of DigitalBridge Group for approximately $3.1 billion, making DigitalBridge a controlled subsidiary of SoftBank. The transaction, originally announced in December, does not involve DigitalBridge's portfolio companies, which include stakes in AIMS, AtlasEdge, DataBank, Switch, Takanock, Vantage Data Centers, and Yondr Group. DigitalBridge will continue to operate as a separately managed platform led by current CEO Marc Ganzi and will no longer be listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The deal integrates DigitalBridge, a major digital infrastructure investor with over $108 billion in assets under management, into SoftBank's portfolio.
