Stanwell and Quinbrook have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) granting Stanwell exclusivity over Quinbrook's proposed Gladstone State Development Area (GSDA) Energy Hub Project. This project is planned to include up to 1,080 MW of open-cycle gas turbines with integrated synchronous condenser capabilities and 780 MW of 8-hour duration Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), totaling 1,860 MW of capacity. The agreement strengthens their partnership and aims to provide significant new firming capacity and support network reliability for Queensland's energy system.
