The transaction is structured as a sale-and-service-back agreement, with Imagination Technologies continuing to operate from the facility as a managed customer. This acquisition reflects strong demand from enterprise and technology customers for resilient, well-connected infrastructure close to operational hubs, particularly driven by AI and high-performance computing workloads. DWS is backing Stellanor's expansion strategy, which also includes the ongoing acquisition of eight UK data centres from Redcentric. The deal underscores the sustained demand for urban colocation capacity as enterprises balance traditional IT requirements with the growing need for edge computing.
