Sungrow launches PowerTitan 3.0 and Hybrid Solution for Australian utility-scale energy storage projects
Sungrow introduced its PowerTitan 3.0 utility-scale energy storage solution and Hybrid Solution at the Sungrow PV & ESS Summit in Sydney, targeting Australia’s rapidly expanding utility-scale renewable energy sector. The PowerTitan 3.0 features a 20-foot container housing 1.78 MW power conversion system (PCS) and 7.14 MWh battery capacity, with blocks scalable to 7.2 MW/28.5 MWh in a 4-hour configuration, reducing land use by 20% and project costs. The Hybrid Solution integrates PV, energy storage systems (ESS), and PowerTitan 3.0 with a dedicated DC/DC module and PV-ESS Synergy Management System, offering discharge durations up to 8 hours and a DC/AC ratio up to 2.0. Sungrow highlighted operational capabilities such as factory pre-installation, self-configuration, and automated system checks completed in under one hour, enabling a 1 GWh project deployment in 12 days. The solutions are designed to address weak-grid conditions and advanced grid-forming requirements in Australia’s evolving energy landscape.
