Expected to generate over $12 million in long-term savings for Monterey County, the system will supply 55% of the jail’s electricity demand while cutting carbon emissions. The installation includes solar panels paired with battery storage to enhance grid resilience and reduce peak demand charges. This initiative aligns with Monterey County’s sustainability goals and marks Sunrock’s expansion into distributed generation projects for public facilities.
