Technip Energies awarded EPC contract by Commonwealth LNG for modular LNG liquefaction facility in Louisiana
Technip Energies received a substantial authorization to proceed with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities for the Commonwealth LNG project in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, under an existing EPC contract. The authorization, valued between $578 million and $1.15 billion, supports the development of a 9.5 million tonnes per annum liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility comprising six modular liquefaction trains using Technip Energies' SnapLNG technology. Commonwealth LNG, the project developer, is advancing the facility toward a final investment decision (FID) expected in the near term. The modular design aims to improve scalability and construction efficiency, positioning the project as a key contributor to global energy security. Arnaud Pieton, CEO of Technip Energies, emphasized the project's strategic relevance and the company's confidence in its execution strategy.
