French electronics and home appliance manufacturer Thomson announced a strategic industrial partnership with 3i Technologies and Groupe JPA to develop a European heat pump production supply chain. The collaboration aims to establish a first assembly line in Jujurieux, France, by the third quarter of 2026, marking the initial industrial deployment under this agreement. The partners will focus on local production to reduce carbon emissions from transportation and strengthen Europe's industrial sovereignty in clean energy technologies. Thomson, which has expanded into solar panels, will leverage 3i Technologies' expertise in energy solutions and Groupe JPA's project development capabilities to scale production. The initiative aligns with France's electrification strategy and the EU's Net Zero Industry Act, which targets 40% of clean technology production within the bloc by 2030.
