Turkey's TPAO and Chevron Sign Agreement for Global Oil and Gas Exploration
Turkey and Chevron have signed an agreement for joint oil and gas exploration around the world. The agreement involves collaboration between Chevron and state-run Turkish Petroleum Corp (TPAO) on onshore and offshore exploration and production activities. This deal aims to reduce Turkey's reliance on imported oil and natural gas, particularly from Russia, and strengthen ties with the U.S. Cooperation with Chevron could potentially help TPAO produce 1 million barrels of oil per day.
