Vero Fiber acquires Telephone Electronics Corporation to expand fiber broadband network in the Southeastern US
Vero Fiber completed the acquisition of Telephone Electronics Corporation (TEC), a fiber broadband provider operating in Mississippi, Alabama, and Tennessee. The deal enables Vero to expand its footprint across these three Southeastern states by leveraging TEC's existing 4,500-mile (7,242km) fiber network. Combined, the companies will reach approximately 444,000 households, including both currently serviceable locations and markets under construction. Vero confirmed that TEC will continue operating as an independent brand within its FTTH portfolio, with leadership teams and existing workforce remaining in place. The acquisition follows Vero's December 2025 purchase of BendTel Inc. in Oregon, signaling a strategic push to consolidate regional fiber infrastructure.
