Voltalia receives authorization for 270 MW Dom Basílio wind complex in Bahia, Brazil

Voltalia Energia has received authorization from the Brazilian National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) to develop and operate the 270 MW Dom Basílio wind complex in Rio de Contas, Bahia, Brazil. Voltalia is a French renewable energy developer focused on solar, wind, and hydroelectric power, with a strong presence in Europe. The project comprises six wind farms and will operate under an independent power production (PIE) regime for a 35-year concession period. The authorization was granted on 2026-03-23. The Dom Basílio wind complex is part of Voltalia's global portfolio, as the company undergoes restructuring, including plans to reduce its workforce by 10% and cut its development portfolio by 30%.
