XGS Energy and CC Power executed a development agreement to advance a 115-MW geothermal project in California. The partnership combines XGS Energy’s geothermal expertise with CC Power’s project development capabilities to target commercial operation within the next five years. The project will leverage California’s geothermal resources in the Imperial Valley, a region with over 1,000 MW of existing geothermal capacity. CC Power will lead site acquisition and permitting, while XGS Energy will provide technical oversight and resource assessment. The collaboration aims to secure power purchase agreements with California utilities to support the state’s 100% clean energy goals by 2045.
