YPF Luz tokenises US$800m in PPAs with blockchain platform
YPF Luz has launched ENERTOKEN, a blockchain-based platform developed in partnership with Justoken, to digitalise electricity contracting and management in Argentina. Backed by US$800 million in signed contracts, the initiative aims to expand YPF Luz's renewable energy customer base tenfold by enabling digital power purchase agreements (PPAs) via blockchain. The platform targets customers with contracted demand starting from 30 kW, including service stations, industrial parks, hotels, and bank branches. ENERTOKEN enables companies to contract renewable energy and thermal power through a fully digital process.
