Zuma Energía and Galeana Municipality install solar energy for water pumping
Zuma Energía and the municipality of Galeana, Chihuahua, agreed to install solar panels at the Pozo Galeana water well, which supplies over 7,000 people. This initiative aims to cover part of the water pumping system's energy demand with renewable energy, reducing operational costs and freeing up public resources. The project is designed to improve local infrastructure related to water access, particularly as a substantial part of Chihuahua's water supply comes from underground sources. Zuma Energía, owned by China's State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC), operates four solar parks in Chihuahua, including the 182 MW Santa María solar park located in Galeana.
