Centra, formerly known as Deep Edge, topped out its RNO2 data center in downtown Reno, Nevada, marking a material milestone in the construction of a 12MW, AI-ready facility. The 90,000 sq ft (8,360 sqm) project at 265 Keystone Avenue is scheduled to launch in early Q2 2026 and will feature both air and liquid cooling systems, including a closed-loop free-cooling mechanism for part of the year. The company secured $230 million in funding earlier in May 2026, with backing from investor Columbia Capital, to advance the development of this carrier-neutral interconnection data center. Centra also operates a meet-me-room/carrier hotel at 200 S Virginia in Reno and has expanded its footprint across multiple US regions, including recent groundbreaking for a 12MW facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Reno facility represents Centra's second data center in the region and underscores its strategic focus on high-density digital infrastructure.
