GreenYellow Colombia commissions 14.55 MWp solar park Jardín in Colombia under PPA model
GreenYellow Colombia commissioned the 14.55 MWp Parque Solar Jardín in Valencia de Jesús, Cesar department, marking the company's latest operational solar asset in Colombia. The project features 23,460 solar modules with tracking technology and is expected to generate 29.15 GWh annually, feeding into Colombia's national grid under a power purchase agreement (PPA) structure. During construction, the project created 184 jobs, including 104 local hires, and included a training program with SENA that certified 35 Valencia de Jesús residents in solar photovoltaic energy through a 48-hour course. The initiative received institutional support from Colombia's Ministry of Mines and Energy, which highlighted coordinated efforts to resolve technical and administrative hurdles for the project's commissioning. GreenYellow Colombia operates a Colombian portfolio of nearly 200 MW of solar projects, including both operational and under-construction assets.
