Meadow Partners acquires 10 U.K. energy ground lease assets including gas peaker and battery storage sites
Meadow Partners acquired 10 ground lease assets for energy infrastructure across the United Kingdom, including eight gas peaker sites and two battery energy storage system (BESS) sites with a combined capacity of 243.5 MW. The portfolio spans 12.7 acres across Merseyside and the Isle of Sheppey in North Kent, both established industrial locations with stable energy demand. The gas peaker plants provide critical backup power during peak demand periods, supporting the integration of renewable energy sources like wind and solar into the grid. Meadow Partners, which has previously invested in energy assets in the U.S. and U.K., expanded its energy infrastructure platform through this transaction, targeting flexible generation and storage solutions in high-demand industrial markets. The assets are fully leased to existing tenants, ensuring stable cash flows and grid stability.
