GreenGo secures Single Regional Authorisation for 19.5MW Canalicchi agrivoltaic project in Italy
GreenGo Energy obtained Single Regional Authorisation (PAUR) for the 19.5MW Canalicchi agrivoltaic project in the province of Crotone, Italy, marking a key milestone for the company's renewable energy pipeline in Calabria. The project, developed by SPV Solux S.r.l., will utilize single-axis trackers and is expected to generate approximately 36GWh annually, sufficient to power around 13,300 households while avoiding 17,388 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. Construction and commissioning are scheduled for the first half of 2028, aligning with GreenGo's broader strategy in the region. The company currently has three solar plants under construction in Crotone totaling 20MW, with two projects over 10MW due for connection by August 2026 and a third 10MW project slated for mid-2027. GreenGo's Calabria portfolio includes 14 wind and solar projects totaling about 360MW, with the agrivoltaic approach combining agricultural production with solar generation to optimize land use.
